By now you may have heard the rumor that the drugstore chain CVS has been tagging only African-American hair products with security sensors, while mainstream hair products are not being tagged at all. It first surfaced in 2006 through a widely-circulated email. Well, it turns out that rumor wasn't a rumor at all. A while back, Snopes.com (formerly UrbanLegends) discovered through a number of sources that CVS was in fact tagging Black hair products specifically.
