New Real Weddings Feature!

We at African American Brides are excited to announce a new feature to our blog in which Brittiny, our guest blogger, will be assisting. Our newest endeavor: OUR Real Weddings will feature luxurious, funky, and stylish weddings of color. If you are tired of not seeing yourself in magazines and tired of poor representation of luxurious weddings of colors elsewhere on the web, stay tuned. Recently wedded couples will have an opportunity to be featured on the blog. We are looking for stylish weddings, budget savvy brides, and of course US in all of our splendor. The weddings locations can be nation or world-wide. Stay tuned for our first couple Kisha and Issac's wedding day!

Black Opal True Beauty Model Search

Could one of our readers be the next face of Black Opal? We think so, and that's why we're taking a short pause in our wedding talk to pass along this information from the folks at BlackOpalBeauty.com. If you're interested, you can easily enter their True Beauty Model Search.
Just submit a photograph of yourself for the gallery on Black Opal's website. Then tell them a little about yourself and what true beauty means to you. After that, hit "SUBMIT" and you're done. The contest is open until March 31st.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive a professional makeover session and photo shoot in New York City, along with a starring role in Black Opal’s international campaigns. The prize comes with a $20,000 scholarship reward and a one year supply of Black Opal products. 20 lucky finalists will also get the chance to appear in Black Opal materials and receive a $2,500 scholarship.
